Lady Gaga has shown fellow superstar Ed Sheeran love on Instagram after he received horrendous online abuse.
Sheeran recently left Twitter, according to his interview with The Sun, and it is due to people sending him hate.
“I’ve actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it.”
“I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. One comment ruins your day.”
“The headf**k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much.” He admitted.
Lady Gaga has showered him with praise and support as it seems some of her fans are to blame.
“Lady Gaga’s fan base read an interview in which they assumed I was talking about her and they all f**cking hate,” Sheeran told The Sun.
Gaga did not want to focus on who had hated on him but rather the love she had for the 26 year old artist.
She told her community to support the singer and that artists and people like him need to be respected rather than hated on for what they do.
The Grammy winning artist has been campaigning against bullying online and created her Born This Way Foundation in 2012.
Her slogan even states: “We’re committed to supporting young people and empowering them to create a kinder, braver world.”
It is not known who will be controlling Sheeran’s Twitter account from now on but it is a shame to see the singer go again.
As Gaga says, it is our duty as human beings to be kind and supportive to others no matter what.
The world can be a dark place at times so we do not need more hate towards those who have done nothing.
Please show your love and compassion whenever and wherever you can.
